Any student who is not planning on being a MET, MAT, or NAT SCI major should take MAT-1060 (Problem Solving). MAT-1020 (Intermediate Algebra) is for those who will later need MAT-1410 (Pre-calculus).
SSC-4710 (Exploration Seminar in the Human Condition) is a one credit course that provides Explorations students with a lunchtime venue for discussing current issues relating to the human condition, such as poverty, rape, racism, and foreign policy. Students will also be provided with feedback about their progress in selecting the discipline and/or career that meets their needs. This seminar is available for credit every semester.
SCI-1030 (The Life, Earth, and Physical Sciences) has three alternative versions: Milestones in Science, Deep Impact, and Global Change.
