PSY 4150 - Understanding and Working with At-Risk Families This course offers an integration of contemporary theories and evidence-based practice approaches in working with families with special emphasis on oppressed and vulnerable populations. Students will examine the impact of domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, poverty, homelessness, and mental illness on family functioning with attention to gender, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, and social class.
Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisites are PSY 4151 and junior standing, or permission.
