OEL 1121 - Fundamentals of Rock Climbing Credit(s): 2
This course introduces basic rock climbing skills through approximately 5-6 days of outdoor rock climbing instruction. This class is designed for students with little to no experience as an introduction to the sport, but is suitable for students with climbing experience. Students learn the essential skills of rock climbing, including basic knots and belaying, as well as anchor systems, with emphasis on safety and the development of fundamental skills involved with climbing.
