BIO 2520 - Introduction to Animal Biology This course introduces students to selected topics in biology through the study of animals. A unit on genetics covers Mendelian genetics, population genetics, and evolution. A unit on ecology covers population dynamics, nutrient cycles, food webs, and biomes. A unit on physiology includes cardiovascular, digestive, and other important systems. An appreciation of taxonomic diversity is woven through all of the topics. This course is part of a one-year introductory sequence in biology.
Prerequisites & Notes There is a lab fee. This course if offered every spring.
