ANT 3050 - Culture, Ecology, and Health This course is designed to explore the nature of disease and illness worldwide. Students will examine the interrelationships between ecology and culture, comparing western healthcare practices with those of indigenous peoples of Africa, Mexico, Southeast Asia, and Native America. The course is taught from an interdisciplinary perspective, incorporating such fields as nutrition, anthropology, history, economics, and medicine.
Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisites are ANT 1030, SOC 1010, or SOC-1030, and sophomore standing. This course is offered every odd-numbered spring.
