PSY 6150 - Family Interaction: Theories and Therapies Various theories of family interaction will be introduced, including the works of Satire, Jackson, Minuchin, Whitaker, and others. Emphasis will be on students gaining an in-depth understanding of their own family systems. Techniques for facilitating healthy family relationships, as well as a variety of therapeutic approaches, will be examined and applied to specific dysfunctional family systems.
Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisite is nine hours in Psychology or permission.
