EDU 6150 - Research Methods in Applied Behavior Analysis

Single-case experimental designs are a hallmark of applied behavior analysis. These designs operate to demonstrate functional relationships between adjustments in independent variables and their effects upon dependent variables. This course examines theoretical, practical and ethical issues in experimental design and control. Students learn basic research methods and analyses as well as learn how to design and write a research proposal. This addresses the following BACB content areas: Ethical Considerations (5 hours); Experimental Evaluations of Interventions (20 hours); and Measurement of Behavior and Displaying and Interpreting Behavioral Data ( 20 hours).
