OEL 1000 - Introduction to Outdoor Education

This course introduces students to the field of outdoor education through a variety of firsthand outdoor learning experiences in combination wtih classroom sessions. The course includes an introduction to historical and philosophical backgrounds of the field as well as career exploration. Integral to the course is participation in a range of adventure-based experiences, activities that emphasize an understanding and appreciation of the natural environment and outdoor learning experiences integrating various curriculum content areas.

Restrictions: OELT Majors Only.
