PSY 6140 - Development Psychology: Child and Adolescent This course will take a topical approach to studying the biological foundations, cognitive, emotional, and social changes that occur throughout childhood and adolescence. Students will learn about both the sequence of development and the processes that underlie it, as well as the important impact that context and culture has on the developing child and adolescent. An emphasis will be placed on theories, current research, as well as basic research design and methodology. The interrelatedness of theory, research, and application will be stressed.
Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisite is graduate standing.
