ATM 3332 - Analysis and Forecasting II This course expands upon the concepts introduced in ATM 3331 to accurately diagnose the atmosphere and incorporate forecasting techniques and strategies so that one can construct a forecast based on sound scientific principles and reasoning. Topics may include Quasi-Geostrophic diagnosis and prediction of high-impact weather associated with synoptic scale midlatitude cyclones, and practices and limitations of modern numerical weather prediction.
Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisite is ATM 3331, and the co-requisite is ATM 3321. There is a course fee. This course is offered every spring.
